MISSION AND PURPOSE
People Promoting Animal Welfare, D.B.A. PPAW Spay/Neuter Clinic is a 501c(3) non-profit organization committed to addressing pet overpopulation in East Tennessee. PPAW was started in late 1998, and we have sterilized over 130,000 companion animals to date. Our mission is to make spays and neuters affordable to every household, to reduce the number of unwanted dogs, cats, kittens, and puppies, and thus help end the euthanasia of adoptable pets.
In addition to our primary mission of offering affordable spays and neuters to the public, we also work with rescues and shelters to offer life saving and quality of life services to help pets go healthy into new homes. And we offer no cost spay/neuter, vaccination, and parasite control for unowned community cats.
