SNAP is a non-profit 501c(3) organization dedicated to
reducing the number of euthanized stray and unwanted animals in Monroe County, TN by
providing low-income residents with free spay or neuter vouchers for their pets.
SNAP offers free vouchers to qualifying families for a spay or neuter procedure at participating
local veterinarians or spay/neuter clinics. PPAW Spay/Neuter Clinic participates in the SNAP
Vouchers are limited to pet owners with maximum combined household incomes of $30,000/year
(1-2 people), $40,000/year for a family (3+ people), $45,000/yr for families needing 3 or
more vouchers for "unfixed" pet dogs/cats, or individuals who are on Disability,
Medicaid, Handicapped or Food Stamp recipients. Pet owners will be asked to sign a questionnaire
stating that they meet one or more of these qualifications. Vouchers are limited to Monroe
County residents. A picture ID or other proof of residency is required.
Vouchers are valid for 30 days. After receiving your voucher, just call the designated Vet to
make an appointment. (State law requires proof of rabies vaccination, the cost of which is not
covered by the voucher).

The PPAW Spay/Neuter Clinic in Greenback, TN also offers low cost spay and neuter services at
their clinic for anyone who does NOT meet the Monroe County residency qualifications.
